A new Central Business District in Hanley which could create 4,500 jobs, is to be called Smithfield Stoke-on-Trent.
The city centre redevelopment project has been named after the former Smithfield pottery factory, built in 1880.
The project, which sees the city council relocate to new headquarters, will provide more than one million sq ft of offices, shops and entertainment.
The city council, which has partnered Genr8, hopes to move into the first set of two buildings in early 2015.
Virtual Planit produced all the imagery to go with the new launch.
Virtual Planit recently created an animation for Kier, to demonstrate the construction method and timeline for this incredible new bus station planned for Stoke on Trent. Grimshaw are the architects, Arup the engineers, and Planit are the Landscape Architect.

Virtual Planit have visualised how £750million will be spent making North Staffordshire a future force to be reckoned with and managed to draft in A-List BBC heavyweight, Andrew Marr, to narrate an 8 minute DVD, that was recently launched at MIPIM.
A further DVD was produced to include the UniQ, University Quarter which is currently undergoing a vast rebuilding program.
Montages were also produced and included in an accompanying booklet.
Virtual Planit won an intensive pitch for the work against some stiff competition last September and were delighted to be appointed on this vast piece of work that has seen the creation of a computer model of Stoke-on-Trent and Hanley.
