Liverpool FC has been given permission to increase Anfield’s capacity from about 45,500 to about 59,000 as part of a £100m expansion plan.

Liverpool City Council’s planning committee approved the club’s proposal to expand the Main Stand by 8,300 seats and the Anfield Road Stand by 4,800.

Construction will begin next year for completion by the 2016-17 season.

Virtual Planit produced all of the photomontages for the Landscape and Visual Impact Assessment as well as the hi-res CGI’s.

Whilst we’ve been working on the Stadium for Liverpool Football Club several years now, (and achieved several planning applications) but we’ve also been working on Stanley Park which is a project that is very much landscape led. The Gladstone Conservatory has been completed, and we’re hoping that one day the stadium will also be realised.
